Customize Instructor Support Documentation

Instructors are more likely to buy in to change if messaging and documentation are delivered internally on campus, with resources tailored specifically to your community. After finalizing the parameters of your institution’s iClicker Cloud/student app usage, such as supported student devices and LMS integration, we recommend assembling some iClicker support materials that will help you introduce the new technology to your instructors and students. Whether it’s a page on your classroom technology support site or an iClicker-specific course in your LMS, it’s important to emphasize resources dedicated to iClicker Cloud and the iClicker student app. At the very least, we recommend including instructor getting-started resources and LMS integration instructions on your iClicker support page. We have suggestions for articles from our knowledge base that you can link to in your own iClicker support resources or use as a foundation to create your own school-specific documentation. You can feel free to use our logos in your own support content.

Distribute Student Registration Instructions

The path for students to register in iClicker Cloud courses is completely distinct from the registration process in iClicker Classic courses. All students in iClicker Cloud courses must register through the iClicker student app. Your iClicker team will share a syllabus template and first day of class slides that are tailored to your institution’s use of iClicker and can be further customized with your campus branding. Some institutions share these student onboarding materials with instructors via the LMS or a campus iClicker support page, and some institutions share registration instructions on a student-facing page. Student onboarding materials are also usually included as follow-up resources after instructor trainings. As a best practice, we recommend that instructors carve out a few minutes of class time to walk students through the iClicker student app registration process during the start of the term or right after add/drop period when rosters have stabilized.
